Monopoly deal is a card game version of a little-known game called Monopoly. It is a set collection and hand management game where the goal is to be the first player with 3 complete sets of property in front of them. But whereas games of the board game version of Monopoly have been known to go on for hours, days and weeks, a game of Monopoly Deal is a short, sharp 15-minute affair.The game has multi use cards where all cards can be banked as money to be used to pay off debts. Most cards have an alternate use which can be to play them as property or play them as an action. All of the properties from classic monopoly are here as well as a few wild cards to help out and stop people from getting into a stalemate.You can use action cards to steal properties from other players or even complete sets, almost guaranteed to cause arguments of classic monopoly proportions! Rent cards allow you to charge your opponents for staying at your luxurious properties, with you getting more rent when you have more of a set of properties. You can also place houses and hotels on your completed sets to boost your rental income. There is even an “It’s your birthday” card.All payments need to come out of your bank, so you can’t just keep playing every card for its abilities because then you might not be able to pay your debts and you might end up losing all of those properties that you worked to get out. Sometimes you will have to play a card for its cash value to make sure you won’t go bankrupt.
